About Me
I am a graphic designer living in the Greater Portland Area and I solve problems, visually.
For over 15 years I have been working with clients across a wide range of industries developing, and promoting their brands through a variety of media.
I believe creative adaptability has been the key to my success. For years I tried to define my style, my unique value proposition, something I could leverage, promote, and perfect. Then it dawned on me that if my goal is to meet the design needs of a broader market and convincingly create work that fits a wide range of styles, maybe not having a signature style, a "Blue Steel" so to speak, would prove best for me and ultimately my clients. And so far it has.
I enjoy both print and web design and I've been told I'm pretty good at both. I am also humble. Beautiful and humble.
My design philosophy is based on a few foundational beliefs which I have recognized and adopted over my career. The more notable ones are:
Humility is one of the most valuable qualities a designer can have because our egos are terrible designers.
Collaboration is at the root of discovery. Good ideas can come from anyone or from anywhere.
The insight gained from 15 minutes of user testing is worth more than a dozen expert opinions.
Most clients prefer results to stunning design.
Only make promises you can keep.
